Player and Staff Profiles
Cavey – This flamboyant Goal Keeper travels miles to play each week. His energy, commitment and banter would be invaluable to any team. His shot stopping abilities are second only to his ability to take ‘team bonding’ to another level ............. !!!
Andy – Now a veteran of the Sunday league circuit, this midfielder turned defender is a stalwart for the club. Ever reliable and with an eye for a pass, Andy has the ability to turn defence into attack in the blink of an eye.
Dip – Tough tackling and great in the air, Dip is a real solid defender who can also play. He possesses great energy and loves getting into the oppositions half, over lapping when ever possible. A very aggressive and consistent performer.
Dave (Captain) – Uncanny ability to be in the right place for a last ditch tackle, this cultured centre half reads the game exceptionally well. As Captain he ensures his team mates are switched on and in the right place at all times.
Brian – With the ability to pick a long ball, Brian can put the opposing team on their heels. This ever vocal and aggressive defender halts many opposition attacks with bones crunching tackles.
Neil – This superb all-rounder, now playing in a position it looks like he was born for, mops up attacks before they reach his defence. Neil is much more than a holding midfielder though, as the deep lying playmaker controls the Oaks tempo and usually starts most good moves.
Millar – An end to end midfielder whose aerial prowess is so valuable in both boxes. With goals in his mind this marauding central midfielder strikes fear into the opposition. With machine like qualities this players performances are always of a high standard.
Nick – With the upper body strength of a bear this wide man capitalizes on any defender dwelling on the ball. His pace, power and drop of the shoulder allow him glide past full backs. His crossing ability always gives him a lot of assists.
Tyler – Last seasons Managers Player of the Year, Tyler’s terrier like running is invaluable. The little forward never gives defenders a rest. Possessing a great first touch, this quick thinker’s vision links the midfield and attack.
Johnny – Some say he was a Brazilian orphan, but where ever he came from, ‘jonaldinho’, can play. With skill most players dream of, Johnny can embarrass most defenders. Flashes of genius enable him to change games in an instant.
Jamie – Top goalscorer for the last 4 seasons shows Jamie’s ability in front of goal. Full of twists and turns and possessing true pace, this striker is a real asset. Averaging at 30 goals a season Jamie is usually the icing on the cake to all the Oaks good play.
Carmo – With immense natural ability on the ball, Carmo would bring style to any side. His tricks, flicks and first touch show how his true class and enable him unlock even the meanest of defences.
Jack – A young man with a bright future. This is Jacks first season in Sunday league football and he is more than holding his own. With pace, an eye for goal and the willingness to chase down every ball, this lad will go far.
Dave Nicholls (Manager) – In his third year as manager, Dave continues to take the club forward. Working tirelessly behind the scenes, he ensures his squad has nothing but best facilities in place, in order to progress as a successful team. With his players best interests in mind and the ability to install confidence in every player, Dave really is the heart beat of the club
Dru – Working alongside Dave for years, they have formed a ‘Sillett / Curtis’ like partnership. The money man of the club, Dru ensures the club’s finances are spick and span. Forget ‘Dr Watson’ or ‘Robin’, Dru is the best side-kick a man could want!
