Jan 6th 2008 - Oak v Stockingford White Lion
'Retired' Nicholls grabs a point !!
After watching his side put in a lack luster performance, Dave Nicholls came out of retirement for the second time in as many seasons to salvage a draw for the Oak.
Seeing his team spurn a host of chances, Nicholls bought himself on with around 10 minutes of the match remaining. Showing his strikers where the net was, a smart glancing header equalised late on.
Simply Brillity !!
J. M. Barrie invented the name 'Wendy' in his Peter Pan novels. Iain Dowie coined the phrase 'bouncebackability'. Now the Attleborough Oak manager and local wordsmith, Dave Nicholls gives the world 'Brillity'.
Brillity - Meaning slighty better than brilliant.
We would appreciate it if this word could find itself into your everyday vocabulary.
'What a brillity morning' or 'Thank you dear, that meal was brillity'.

Milestone Mills makes it 100 for the Oak.
Congratulations to Jamie Mills as he bagged a double on the 11th Nov against Ridge Lane Res. The first of his brace sent his goal tally to 100 goals for the Oak. The deadly striker has rocketed to a ton of goals for the club and this is only his 4th season. With a strike rate of roughly a goal a game Jamie's record will be tough to beat.
